Interest and Dividend Income

Spoiler

Hello Sir

I have earned interest and dividend income in India on which I have paid taxes in India, do I need to show them in my tax returns in USA and if yes than where ? and secondly will I get any credit as otherwise it will result in double taxation for me

Thanks in advance

Asked and answered here.  Did you change your name, or do two people have the identical question at the same time?  (I guess it's tax time somewhere.)

If you are a US taxpayer (citizen, green card holder, or resident) you report and pay income tax on all your world-wide income.  You will get a credit or deduction if you paid tax in another country on the same income.  You must report income paid to you during the calendar year (Jan-December) for US tax purposes, even though India uses a different tax calendar.
