All I know is that I've tried at least 6 times and get the Utility for 2017 but it never stops and never installs. Have told you before that if it can't work to refund my money.

#1...make sure you have installed all the W10 updates that may have come out recently first....and reboot a couple times. (mine stopped installing until I implemented those W10 updates )
#2...Then try again...
#3....if it still won't install......if you want to try this....... Rt-click on the .exe file and go to Properties, then select the Compatibility tab and set to install in Windows 8 compatibility mode, then Apply and OK at the bottom of the Properties Window. Then Run as Administrator from the same rt-click menu.

There have been some issues with installing the Desktop Download from some W10 computers...mostly with W10-Pro and higher flavors of W10 (only one W10-Home....so far).
IF you don't want to try under W8 compatibility (#3)...go here to check for other issues...mostly Anti-Virus problems:

I have tried to download the 2017 turbotax info so that I can file my 2017 taxes. I have paid my money since the beginning of 11/19 and still haven't been successful. I am getting frustrated and not sure if I trust the quality of product from TurboTax. Once I click the download file a box open up that says "For Security and Performance, Windows 10 in S mode runs Microsoft verified apps".
google "windows 10 S" and follow the steps to upgrade from S mode to regular Windows.
OR
use a different Windows PC
OR
request a refund. Meanwhile, you can use TurboTax Online, for the cost of that one.
If you need to complete a 2017 return and you don't have a computer that will handle the program ... then first get a refund of the program fee you cannot use then seek an alternative way to file the 2017 return .... seek local professional assistance or get the forms from the fed/state websites.
With Windows 10S the "S" stands for Secure. That particular version can only install programs and software obtained directly from the MicroSoft Store, and that's it. To change from Windows 10S to regular Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional (whichever you have) follow the guidance at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4020089/windows-10-in-s-mode-faq for switching out of S-Mode. Once you have done that you'll be able to install TurboTax as well as any other program not purchased directly from the Microsoft store.
Is there a risk changing from S mode to regular windows. The windows comparison makes it look like my computer could be in high risk if I get out of S mode. Anyone know?
