How do I import 1099 data?

not all 1099s are importable. the issuer must partner with TurboTax and eve then some users have experienced issues with multiple 1099s from the same issueer or have multiple accounts with th issuer

from the file tab select import from financial institution.  search for the name. if it isn't there import is not possible.
