Inherited property

My brother died Oct 2023. He had inherited a home from our mother but the FloridA deed indicated I would inherit if he died. I have now sold this home. What is the basis for me?
He further inherited several rental properties that were held in a special needs trust. Due to hurricane damage repairs were required. I will inherit the contents of the trust. What is the basis of these properties?

Have a tax pro review the docs......the only way to know for sure. Usually your basis will be the FMV on the date of death of your brother. Sorry for your loss.
