If your partner got arrested in December 2024 but has work rest of 2024 prior to being arrsted,can you file there taxes for them? Do you need any special documentation from them or how do you go about this for them, since they owned and ran there own business prior to incarcerated?

You said "partner"--so not a legally married spouse? You need a durable power of attorney to prepare a tax return for them----which you need to seek from a lawyer.
