In Michigan, If I claim my son (Age 27) as a dependent will his medicaid benefits be affected?
I understand Michigan did adopt medicaid expansion but is one of the few states that got a section 1115 expansion waiver so I am not sure if Michigan handles medicaid benefits and dependents differently

This is something that you MUST contact the state Medicaid office to be 100% sure- in general, if a disabled child is claimed by their parents will not affect the Medicaid because their needs are greater (so since it is needs based, your support will not disqualify him) but PLEASE call for state help because you want to make sure it will not affect his medical coverage.
