In box 20 of my w2s for locality name it shows CASDI and in box 18 it shows my Gross pay. I dont think I have ever had anything in those boxes. Is this normal?
Box 14 is llisted as "GROSS $" with my gross pay listed, which is the same as box 18.

CASDI Is California State Disability Insurance. It is deductible if you itemize deductions on schedule A. In 2015, the rate is 0.90% and the salary cap is $104,378 for a maximum tax of $939.40. The amount of the tax is usually reported in Box 14 on the W-2.
Box 18 shows the total of your salary used to compute a local tax, if a local tax applies.
