Import issues with 2023 PDF when missing .tax2023 file

My original tt tax2023 file was lost due to a stupid error on my part so all I have is the full pdf backup for 2023.

What will  TurboTax not do that I need to take into account. For instance, TT 2024 imported my 2023 PDF without complaint but did not include any of the carryover losses. I had to enter them manually visiting the "Capital Loss Carryover" section myself. No big deal and I was able to enter the information needed but since that info came from the PDF backup, why didn't TT do this for me and what else is TT missing?

There have been some changes in the program which may account for some of the information not transferring over.
