Import from Quicken failed. Please try again!

I just updated to the latest version of TurboTax Premier  (023.000.0367) with the hopes of being able to import directly from Quicken Classic Premier (R53.32) so that data for Schedule D is captured.  I keep getting the message "Import from Quicken failed.  Please try again."  I get this error message whether the Quicken file is open or closed.  Prior to this latest version of TurboTax, I was getting a message that Quicken import was not ready and to use the .TXF file exported from Quicken.

Information reported on the Sch D & 8949 should be  imported from the broker directly when it is available sometime in February.

True, but this shouldn't derail the whole import process.

I am having the same issue with Turbotax deluxe (023.000.0-367) and Quicken Deluxe (R53.32)

It appears you need to look under Reports in Quicken.

Under Reports> Tax> Tax Schedule

The icon next to the printer when hovering over it says Export Report Data to Different Formats.

There is an option for Report to Tax Export File (TXF).

previous years did not require you to generate the .txf files to import into Turbotax.   There is no instruction to do so this year.    When importing, Turbotax opens Quicken and just sits there until a message is generated.   Seems like some process step is not working.

This is a work around. Have you tried to see if you are able to do this based on the instructions above?

Yes the workaround worked, however the prior release of TT advised that the import was not ready and to use the workaround.  The latest release attempts the import (by asking for the Quicken file name) and then gives you a failure message without alerting you to the workaround.
