I just had the same error trying to import from Schwab. I have never had issues in 12 years using TurboTax + Schwab. Following to see if anyone has an answer.

I have the same error here as well.  I tried a couple times and made it past to the Schwab login screen, but then got a notification that "Login is temporarily unavailable".

I tried again.   This time I got to the Schwab login page.  After login and agreeing to terms, etc, I received the following:

Something unexpected happened and we can’t connect to Charles Schwab & Co., Inc..

Try again in a few hours. (590)

I'm wondering if the too-many requests errors pertains to connecting to Schwab.   I suspect that Schwab may be unable to handle the volume (or maybe the intuit server can't handle the volume.   I'll try later as suggested.

Schwab moved headquarters to Texas.  Ever since, service has degraded.   This seems to be common of organizations that move home offices like Boeing

I tried again and it finally imported.

Yep - seeing this unhelpful message no matter what I do.  Been trying to import for 2 hours now...

Glad to see others have had better luck, give me hope, but is this another one of those things that only works at 2am?

JP Morgan Securities was added today.  To proceed, you need to click "Get Your Activation Code" on the bottom yet that is not something you can click but only words.  Design flaw?

I just had success finally importing the documents after many attempts that failed. Not sure if it will work for all but worked for me the two times I tried.  Once at the point of importing the documents, rather than using their page that pops up saying “let us enter your investment sale info”. At the screen asking if you received a 1099, I went to the “File” command in the header and chose the import tab there. Then followed the screens as normal.  Not sure if it’s a bad link inside the program or something. This was on a MacBook if that has anything to do with it as well.

Lucky you!  On a mac too, it doesn't have a clickable icon for the "generate access code" still so I can't use your clever workaround.  TURBOTAX PEOPLE - help?

I'm having the same problem too.  I called both TurboTax and Schwab, and they said the same thing:  "it's a known problem that affected all Schwab customers on Friday, and now only Mac users are still affected by the problem".  They hope to have it resolved the issue resolved in the next day (or so).

@mamatriagain2 I'm using a Mac and it is still not working for me. Have you gotten it to work?
