how can i file my 2016 W2 with my 2017 W2

Any tax information (income, deductions, etc.) must be filed in for the tax year it corresponds to.

Example: You cannot report 2016 W-2 income on your 2017 tax return.

You would have to file a separate prior year return if you have not already.

If you have, you would have to amend that year with the new information.

To file a prior year:

TurboTax Online is closed for filing prior years.

In order to prepare prior year tax returns, you need the respective TurboTax Desktop (Download/CD) for each year you are preparing.
