Im being asked to put in a control number but my w-2 didnt have one. The app wont let me move on without it

Mind you, I'm told its not necessary to have but then why can't I move past it?  I just need to know what to do in this situation, what to put in the box

If the TurboTax program is giving you an error message for the box d control number and will not move on, then delete the W-2 and re-enter the W-2 manually to clear the program error.
