Woke up to this rejection code telling me,
"The Primary Taxpayer Drivers License number or State ID number did not match the Drivers License or State ID number on the Illinois Department of Revenue production file. If PC Online return, at least one of the following Primary Taxpayer signature fields must be present and match the department production file: Primary IL-Pin, Primary Prior Year AGI, or Primary IL Shared Secrets Drivers License/State ID Number."
No idea what it's talking about, so I go back in. Re-check my DL number, it's correct. Re-check birthdate, weight, middle name, everything else...all correct. Just re-submitted it, but I'm sure it'll just get rejected again. No clue what a "Primary IL-Pin, Primary Prior Year AGI, or Primary IL Shared Secrets Drivers License/State ID Number" is . I have filed taxes in multiple states with no issue throughout the years, why is Illinois so ridiculous?

This rejection code seems to indicate that the Primary taxpayer Prior-Year adjusted gross income (AGI) did not match the Prior Year AGI on the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) production file.
If your AGI was adjusted in the prior year due to an amendment or correction by you or IDOR you should report the most recent AGI.
It may also mean that there is no prior-year return on file with IDOR. If you did not file with Illinois in prior years, that may be the issue.
Check your AGI and make sure it was input correctly. Your AGI can be found on line 11 of your Form 1040.
You can preview your prior-year's tax return by doing the following in TurboTax.

You can also troubleshoot by finding your rejection code. It's in the email you received, or you can view it in TurboTax after selecting Fix my return. Here's an example:
It may also be an identification verification error. Either there is an issue with your state ID card, the prior years Adjusted Gross Income or the 8 digit Illinois PIN, whichever you are using to prove identification. Look at those inputs and see how they were entered.
