I am paid through IHSS and my client is a live in with me. I thought I was tax-exempt under the IRS exemption but when I filed my 1099-NEC form the company provided me Turbo Tax now thinks I am a business. Now it is taxing the amount showing up in Box 1 under nonemployee compensation. Did I receive the wrong form or am I filing it wrong? If so how do I file it correctly? Thanks
