When I filed my taxes was form 9465 sent along with them or do I need to mail that separately?

If you selected the installment plan under the File tab before your e-filed your return, then the form would be sent with it. If you completed the form after you e-filed, then it would need to be mailed.

If your payment plan has not yet been approved, send in a payment before the due date of the return with the voucher. It can take up to 30 days for the IRS to accept your plan.

To check your documents if you have already filed your return, you may need to reopen your return first:

  • Sign in to your TurboTax Online account
  • Select My TurboTax, View My Tax Timeline
  • In the Some things you can do section, click 'Add a State' (you aren't really adding a state this is just a way to reopen your return)

After you reopen your return, you should see print/save my documents icon. Select the icon, and then select 'Print/save/preview this year's return. If you don't see the icon, select My Account, then Print Center.

From your printing options drop down box, select All Forms. Scroll the pdf file for the Form 9465.
