I am legally married but no longer live with spouse she has two children living with her. I have on living with me .she lefy in fwb 2016. Can I file as head of household?

I am legally married but no longer live with spouse she has two children living with her. I have on living with me .she lefy in fwb 2016. Can I file as head of household?

If you have not spent a single night living with your spouse during the last 6 months of 2017, you can be considered as unmarried and file as Head of Household.  You also need to have paid more then 1/2 of the cost of maintaining a household for all of 2017, in which a dependent child lived with you for more than half the year.
