Hi I filed an Injured Spouse form with my return, but now finding out my husband has no offsets. what do I do?

If you have already filed, you will need to wait and see if the IRS Accepts or Rejects your Tax Return. 

• If the IRS Rejects your return, you will be able to delete the Injured Spouse Form, make any other needed changes and then resubmit your return. 

• If the IRS Accepts your return, then you won't be able to delete the Injured Spouse Form from your return.  This form may cause a bit of a delay in processing your refund just because the IRS will go through the extra step of looking for an offset.  However, once they see that there are no offsets, they will issue the full refund as normal.

 [Keep in mind, the IRS has been processing some test returns, but they don't "officially" start processing returns until January 28, 2019.]
