Currently there is no way to track when you will receive the Stimulus Payment.
The IRS has started to send out the Stimulus Payments.
From the IRS website
For security reasons, the IRS plans to mail a letter about the economic impact payment to the taxpayer’s last known address within 15 days after the payment is paid. The letter will provide information on how the payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the payment. If a taxpayer is unsure they’re receiving a legitimate letter, the IRS urges taxpayers to visit IRS.gov first to protect against scam artists.
If you received a refund on your tax return, the Stimulus payment will be directly deposited to your bank account.
If you have a balance due on your tax return, the IRS is setting up a portal where you can enter your bank information to receive the Stimulus Payment as a direct deposit.
Currently this portal is not available, it is expected to be available later this month
If i filed 2019 taxes as independent contractor, when will i get my stimulus check. I oweI. IRS money but elected to pay by extended dead line. My concern is do i get stimulus by check or direct deposit and if by check is there any way i can change to direct deposit?
The IRS has not issued an exact date for the disbursement of stimulus payments. If you have filed your 2018 or 2019 return, then you do not need to do anything thing else to receive a qualifying stimulus payment. The IRS will use the information from your tax return to send your payment. Please view this IRS link and use the Get Your Payment application, available mid-April, to check the status of your stimulus payment and update your direct deposit information.
