If you already filed under deluxe for federal taxes, can you then downgrade and file your state taxes for free? Or must it remain under deluxe?

Your account remains as Deluxe since you filed the federal return using that edition, it cannot be downgraded

Since you have already filed your Federal tax return, you are no longer able to downgrade to a Free File version.
