If this is the first time using Turbo tax and my first time filing individually how do I have an AGI from the previous year?

By "first time filing individually" do you mean you filed a joint return last year? If so, then the AGI is the same amount for you and your spouse on the 2017 return. If you mean you just did not file at all for 2017, then use zero for your 2017 AGI. If zero does not work, then you need to print, sign and mail your 2018 return.
