If my return was rejected because it said my name and my social security number don't match. I checked it and they do match. What do I do?

If your return is rejected for a wrong name and social security number, make sure to check the spelling of the last name and the SSN. If you are still having trouble, the IRS uses the information from the SSA (Social Security Administration), so you should check with the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 to see what they have on file. If you can't get it to go through, you can print out and mail a paper return, but then you could end up having the same problem next year. See below for more information on how to correct this issue.
