Yes, if you did NOT have any coverage at all through the Marketplace for 2024 you will skip adding a 1095-A.
If you had it in the previous year and your return happens to be rejected because it is asking for form 8962, then you will need to include a "dummy" 1095-A. Do NOT do this unless your return is rejected. To do this take the following steps:
- enter $1 for the January Premium and SLCSP (column A and B),
- leave the rest of the boxes for column A, B and C blank.
- For the Marketplace Identifiers and the policy number Enter all 0's
- continue through your return and resubmit your return.
Where do I enter my 1095-A?
