You need to enter the Form W-2G exactly as it is reported.
After you have entered the information, you will click the Done button.
On the next screen, you will be asked if you had gambling or lottery winnings that were not reported on Form W-2G. (See the screenshot below)
Click yes, and you can enter the amount you received that wasn't on your Form W-2G.
You will be asked if you had any gambling losses. You may be able to claim losses up to the total amount of your winnings.
- Did you itemize your deductions on your 2015 return?
- Gambling losses are only deductible up to the amount of your gambling income.
- They are reported as other miscellaneous itemized deductions.
- So, if you don't itemize your deductions you will not be able to deduct your gambling losses.
