A spouse can never be claimed as a dependent. You should be filing your tax return as Married Filing Jointly even if one spouse has little or no income.
Click on My Info on the left side of the online program screen. Delete your spouse as a dependent. Then edit your personal information to indicate Married and that you will be filing with your spouse. Then you should enter your spouse's personal information so that you can file Jointly.
