You do not mention whether your 2023 return shows a refund or tax due. If you owe back taxes, and you are seeing a refund on your 2023 Form 1040, the IRS will reduce your refund by the amount you owe from last year plus interest. If you have a new tax due amount for your 2023 return--shown on line 37---then you now owe even more and will need to make plans for how you will take care of that.
