if I filed by mail on turbo tax, does she have to mail anything in or does Turbo tax do it for her.

If you file a return by mail that was prepared using TurboTax, you will need to attach certain documents with the return at the time it is mailed. Some states have different requirements for attaching documents.

If you choose to file by mail, TurboTax provides instructions for printing and preparing the return to mail with attachments. See here for more information.

TurboTax does not have access to independently submit any taxpayer information to the IRS. It only submits e-filed tax returns.

When anyone selects file by mail for any tax return.

They have to mail it all in themselves....At the Post Office and use a Tracking method at the PO Service Counter....signed-dated, and including any forms that show tax withholding on them (W-2...1099-R etc)

Federal forms go to the IRS...State forms go to the respective State Dept of Revenue..
