If I file my income taxes in February are taxes due when i file or on April 17th 2017?

This is the first year I have to owe, my first year of marriage and we didn't calculate correctly on what should have been taken out of our checks monthly. Anyway, i need to know if i can file now (February 2017) and pay on "tax day" April 17th 2017 or will i have to pay when i file?

You do not have to pay when you file.

You can schedule the payment for any date between when you file and April 17, 2017.
