If I entered interest into turbotax by hand and then download from my broker (Merrill lynch) will it double the entry?

....many times it will create a separate 1099-INT form and double it, but you can always delete one of them from 1099-INT table .

Pay attention to what's in the table before & after the import...or just stick with the manual entry if your numbers match.
