If I buy Deluxe and want to add "live" later, can I and how much would it cost?

Trying to decide if we need the live version of Deluxe, but wanted to get started with taxes and possibly decide later to add live.  Can that be done?

The upgrade cost will be the difference in pricing between the Deluxe Edition and the price of TT Deluxe Live had you selected it initially.

Maybe not so easy---

The OP indicated that they are using the Mac CD/download desktop version.    There is no "Live" for the desktop versions,  Live is an online product only.   You can upgrade to live from another online version but not from the desktop version since the desktop and online pricing structures are different.

To switch from desktop to online requires customer service to essentially refund the desktop cost and charge the online costs.   You would then have to start over because the desktop tax file cannot be transferred to online.

@tgfarrell Please note the information given by SuperUser macuser_22 above.  IF you are using the desktop program (CD/download), please note that TurboTax Live is an option restricted to the TurboTax ONLINE program only.

You can upgrade to TT Live at a later time when using Turbo Tax Online.
