My son worked last year and made over $6000. but he was a full time college student and hes on my medical insurance, am i suppose to claim him?

My son worked last year and made over $6000. but he was a full time college student and hes on my medical insurance, am i suppose to claim him?

If he was a full time student and under age 24, you can claim him as a dependent if he did not provide more than half of his support.  You do not have to claim him, but you may lose some tax benefits for doing so.
