If a therapist washing multiple loads of laundry a day, I read the IRS only allows( $1 per load to wash dry and press), (cost closer to $2.50 a load) am I misreading it?

The IRS does not set a dollar amount for that.

You can deduct the actual business expense.

Where exactly did you read that?  And whose laundry are you washing?

It looks like you weren't on etax.com, you were on etax.com.au.

So if you were in Australia paying Australian income tax, that would be limited to $1 per load.   🙂

Right, but if you are doing this at home, you have to figure out the cost of the detergent, hot water, electricity/gas, etc etc. for just those loads.
