If a therapist washing multiple loads of laundry a day, I read the IRS only allows( $1 per load to wash dry and press), (cost closer to $2.50 a load) am I misreading it?

The IRS does not set a dollar amount for that.

You can deduct the actual business expense.

Right, but if you are doing this at home, you have to figure out the cost of the detergent, hot water, electricity/gas, etc etc. for just those loads.
