IDnotify is not part of TurboTax.
Log in to IDnotify on their website - https://www.idnotify.com/
If you purchased MAX benefits or Premium Services, look for one or more email communications from IDnotify. Open the link in the email to sign in to your account.
Who is IDnotify and what is their relationship to TurboTax?
The email I received said this:
"
During a recent audit, we became aware that you were not receiving the IDnotify benefits you purchased through TurboTax between April 30, 2021 and today. We have reactivated your membership, and will be extending it through October 31, 2022 at no additional charge.
We have completed a historical scan to ensure nothing was missed during the time your membership lapsed, and will follow up via a separate email with any alerts that may require your attention.
Out of an abundance of caution, you may also receive past alerts, as our historical scans go back as far as 10 years. We apologize for any inconvenience that may cause.
You can access your personalized identity protection dashboard any time by signing in to your IDnotify account. Once you've logged in, you can update what personal information you want us to monitor, review your identity monitoring reports, and get tips on how to minimize your risk of identity theft."
It includes a link at the bottom, which when I am taken to a website asks for multiple multi-factor authentications, then says, "page expired". How do I get support on this?
If what you say is true (IDnotify is not part of Turbo Tax and if you get an alert, you should Login to idnotify.com) Then why do I receive these alerts with this message?:
"Please login to your TurboTax account to view more details about the alert and recommended actions you can take."
When logging in as instructed, there are NO details about the alert, NO recommended actions I can take and NO link to get to IDnotify.
If these two products are separate, then WHY do I not receive the alerts from IDnotify???? It makes no sense!
There is tremendous irony the fact that an Identity protection service requires you to click a link in an email to access it. Come on now...
