I worked as a contractor doing door to door sales for Vivint Smart home and i dont know how to classify this work. Is it direct home goods sales and do i name Vivint?

Based on your description in your question, take a look at this one:

To answer your other question, you would not name your self-employment business Vivint because you are working as an independent contractor for Vivint.  Usually you would simply leave the business name blank for work as an independent contractor.
