I work for an employer in Italy that does not give W2s, but another form that is in Italian. Am I suppose to attach this document in place of a typical W2?

Based on my knowledge  and experienced in preparing Tax return for individual and business people, "YES"  you can just simply report your income and keep your earning statement for your record if you e-file, but if you filed by mail then you must attached your earning statement with you tax return.
