I will be receiving an award from an insurance company through Workers Compensation shortly due to an injury at work then a following surgery a year and a

half ago, due to that injury. The WC weekly payments I got while out of work/recovering ended up not being taxable. Question is will this award I get be taxed when I file in 2018? I will need to know so I'm prepared. Anyone ? What do you all think? Thanks.....State of Vermont

If none of your Workers’ Compensation income is considered a substitute for Social Security income, then it would not be taxable or reportable.
