I was on Workers' compensation for an injury. I returned to work briefly but had to be put back on workers' compensation. Should I put unemployed as my occupation?

I was on workers' compensation all year except briefly while on light duty. It, unfortunately, didn't work out due to the injury and I was placed back onto workers' comp. I'm not sure if I write 'Unemployed' as my occupation or if there is a different title for my situation.

You can enter Unemployed.  This information is only used for statistical purposes and has no effect on your tax return.

Yes, unemployed is an acceptable description to list as your occupation for 2022.  You could also write injured, depending on your preference.
