It's not a Merrill Lynch problem. If I type in Bank of America or Suntrust Bank the box still remains empty. It doesn't show any bank name no matter what I type.

The reason you don't see information is because TurboTax has not received the information from the banking/brokerage institutions. The IRS mailing deadline is Feb. 15, 2018 for Form 1099-B Proceeds From Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions and other forms related to an account.
When the forms are ready, use the TurboTax import feature to get the data into your TurboTax income tax return(s). To use the import feature, click on How do I import my 1099?
