Resolution
This error is caused by the Internet connection being unable to resolve connection to our server for license activation. There can be many reasons for this and they may not impact regular Internet usage and activity.
Follow the steps in the link below:
Turbo Tax has a code error, after Updating Turbo Tax, it throws the 603 error. I first I called Turbo tax, was on phone for 45 Minutes. Did not get it resolved, they took a lot notes, and asked me to try updating windows, and other things. They told me that there was nothing I could do, that I had already used my 5 licenses... Almost, insinuating that I was trying to install a 6th license. I had problems installing my 3rd license, and had to download the software twice. Then they tried to put the blame on dad... very cordial I might add... It didn't make sense, because that would have been my 4th license with 2 downloads. I asked the young lady, if this was the end o support, or if I could elevated. She never offered to elevate the issue. Once I asked she did. Took all my information, and said someone would call the next day. Since the Pacific coast help desk was closed. No one called as of 4PM MST. So I called again [phone number removed], armed with my new Case number, and armed with information that this is happening to a lot o folks. (1) They had me update Turbo Tax manually. (2) Tried my code again, did not work (3) They asked for installation CD ASM Serial number (on CD) (4) I had to share my Desktop with them, and they helped me resolve it, they did not touch my system, they just needed to verify what I was doing before creating a new license. (4) They created a new Activation Code, didn't charge me, and gave me a new code. It's working now. It sucks that it took 2 days and a total of 2 hours on the phone. The calls were 45 mins each, the wait was about 30 mins the first time before I reached a human. On the positive side, theses things happen... and I now don't have to file a Class Action Suit for negligence to customers. WIN for Turbo tax.
I have gone thru all that garbish and I am more frustrated than ever. You have created a BIG problem with the activation code stupid format and you guys know it. I have tryed EVERYTHING you have indicated to no avail.
GIVE ME and the rest of the customers a REAL FIX for the MESS you have created.
Or at least give me a number to talk to one of your geniuses there to get real help.
