I want to choose a directory on my computer C:\ to store my Turbo tax data
My turbo tax data was automatically put into my C:\User\MyId\OneDrive\Document\TurboTax Folder
Also the Premium 2022 Tax Year program did not fine my 2022 Tax year files I had completed on my previous computer even though I was able to copy them to my new computer.
I want to be able to choose which folder my Turbo Tax Data is backed up to.
the previous versions of Turbo Tax allowed me to choose which folder I wanted to use.
Thank You, BK

I want to choose a directory on my computer C:\ to store my Turbo tax data
I'm new to TurboTax, but I have no problem putting my TT data files into a sub-directory of my choosing. When I first installed the 2022 Home and Business desktop software, TT asked me where I want to put my data files.
On my Home & Business version, when I open the software, the home screen has a "Find a Tax File" link. Just click on that and change the default location to where you put your 2022 data files. The file names should have a ".tax2022" extension. I have no idea if your Premium version has the same "Find a Tax File" interface. If so, try it.

As guywong said, the current version of TurboTax does allow you to choose the folder to save your tax return in, just like the previous versions did. You make the choice when you save a new tax return for the first time, or when you use Save As.
TurboTax will not automatically find your tax return files unless they were saved by TurboTax on the same computer. If you copied the files from another computer, TurboTax cannot find them until you save them from TurboTax on the new computer. Once you do that, it will find them. Until then, you have to use "Find a Tax File" to open a file that was copied from another computer, or that was moved after you saved it in TurboTax. All versions of the CD/Download TurboTax software have "Find a Tax File" on the opening screen.
