I've already registered my account but I don't want to file my state taxes so I can't delete it. Does this mean I can't submit my federal taxes through your service now?

Yes. You could e-file your Federal return and when it asks for the State return submission method, select you wish to file by mail. Then, just don't print and mail to your state. 

You can return whenever you're ready to file your state -- after your Federal return has been approved. If you need assistance with filing state later, please comment back or post again.
