You can print a copy of the 14039 and mail them in along with the photocopies of your IDs OR you can wait to see if you get a letter from the IRS requesting the photocopies of your IDs. Your third option would be to call the IRS for specialized assistance at 1-800-908-4490. and ask them if you will be required to send in copies of the IDs and if so they may be able to give you a fax number so that you can fax copies of the IDs to them.
And finally you could do the following:
• Include a cover sheet marked ‘Confidential’.
• If you checked Box 2 in Section B of Form 14039 (no current tax-related issue), FAX a copy of the form and your ID's toll-free to: 855-807-5720
