Well that is a statement ... do you have a question ?
If you have a Windows Computer (Rev 8 or higher)...then stick with the Desktop/Download versions. Deluxe or higher, but if you still have a self-employed job, Home&Buisness supposedly has the most help, but if you know what you are doing, then Deluxe or Premier might do. (yeah, an opinion).
If you are uncertain as to whether you really can handle it yourself...you should buy, download and install the 2018 software now, and see if you can reproduce the 2018 CPA tax file yourself...to see if you really want to attempt it yourself next year (and NO, you'll still have to buy the 2019 version for the 2019 tax preparation when it is released at the end of 2019/early 2020)

If you feel you really must use the Online version, and you have ANY self-employed entries to make, then the Online SE version would be the "required" version you would need. There is no "Forms Mode" that the desktop has, that allows you to look at all the forms at any time...but the Online does store the files for you......IF...if you use the same login every successive year. (but the majority of experienced users really dislike the Online versions for anything but W-2 only tax returns, and inexperienced users even have trouble with that...again...opinion. And never ever prepare or file using a phone or narrow screen tablet)
