I used to live in the US as a resident alien, but I moved to the Netherlands in the middle of 2018. Am I considered a dual-status taxpayer? Can I file with Turbotax?

Yes, you would be considered a dual status resident and would need to file a dual status return.

TurboTax does not support nonresident or dual status returns.

However we have a partnership with Sprintax offering a nonresident/dual status tax filing solution to our TurboTax customers.

Visit the TurboTax/Sprintax site for more info or to get started.

Thanks! Can I choose to be treated as a resident alien for the entire year?

No you will need to file a dual status return. There are different rules for dual-status taxpayers to file a joint return but only is you are married and are a US resident at the end of the tax year.
