I used my 2020 federal refund to pay my turbo tax fees. A week ago, On receipt it now says “payment complete” where is my refund now?

I still haven’t received refund. Santa Barbra tax group doesn’t have it. IRS website says it’s still being processed.

Payment Complete refers to your TT fees.  When you signed up for Pay with Refund, you also agreed to let TT takes its fees if your refund was delayed beyond a certain point, so that may be what happened.  But TT notifies you first.  Check the IRS website to see if your refund has actually been issued.

thank you for your answer. TT never notified me of anything, I just happened to look at my receipt after reading forums online to see if payment was completed yet. Also,  My federal refund status is still being processed. Its now been 10 weeks since My return was accepted by the IRS, so I called. The lady told I spoke with did not give me any clear answers, she said Its a waiting game and ill just have to keep checking “where’s my refund” for updates.
