I used 2017 refund to pay 2018 federal and state estimated taxes, how do I show those payments on turbo tax? I

I have entered the refund.  Should I put the same amount in the 1st quarter estimated tax payments ?

No, you should not.  That is not the correct section.  You should enter the information under the " 2017 Refund Applied to 2018".  Do not enter information under the section "Estimated Tax Payments"  If you have not filed, here are the steps (online):

• Sign back into the program and select Take me to my return 
• At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in estimates paid and Enter
• Select Jump to estimates paid
• On the screen, Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid, scroll down to section 2017 Refund Applied to 2018
• Select Start in the sub-section you want to work on.

BUT first make sure it's not already there.  It should have transferred over from last year.  You don't want to apply it twice.
Federal on left
Deductions and Credits at top
Then scroll way down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid
Other Income Taxes - Click the Start or Revisit

Next page scroll down to 2017 Refund Applied to 2018
Click Start or Update by the tax you applied
