Self-Employed is online software. You will still be able to use the online software for your 2019 tax return in early 2020. It is desktop software that might not work on Windows 7. The desktop software that you download or install from a CD is called Home and Business--the online software equivalent is Self-Employed.
Windows 7 will not be supported with the TurboTax 2019 software. We recommend all users to use our product with Windows 10.
TurboTax just put out a new official FAQ on Windows 7 and the upcoming 2019 TurboTax today (October 4). It looks like 2019 TurboTax (coming mid to late November) will still install and run on Windows 7, but you'll get a warning about the OS security, etc., and recommending that you upgrade for that reason. And in tax years to follow, it won't install at all. See the full details in the FAQ linked below:
FAQ: Windows 7 end of support impact for TurboTax
Have tried to load the 2019 software from the CD and online download. Neither will download to windows 7, it just acts like I did not hit the download anyway. What is the secret to download on windows 7? Not going to upgrade just for this software.
