I switched jobs and cant get a w2 from the old job
If all efforts to obtain a W-2 from your former employer have failed, you can file a substitute W-2 (Form 4852). You'll need to use your final pay stub from last year to prepare the substitute W-2. Please see the FAQ below for instructions.
Note: You cannot e-file a return that has a substitute W-2.
