There is a way to go on the Social Security website and request your SSA1099. Go to www.ssa.gov You have to create an account with a user name and password.

You have to understand what you are receiving. If you are getting "SSI" that is not Social Security and you will not receive a SSA1099 or any other tax document for it. If you are receiving Social Security Disability income then you should have received a SSA1099.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that social security is different from SSI, but I get my paperwork from the SSA, which was my reference to Social Security. But, if I don't get an SSA1099, how do I file my return? I just want to make sure that I don't get in trouble.
