Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

I sent my printed taxes in the mail, but was asked to pay with check; I didn't actually add a check with the documents... how can I pay now?

I need to send a check for filing my taxes, separately from the documents... how is this best done?

You can easily send in your payment with a payment voucher after you have mailed your tax returns.  You can print a copy of the 1040-V payment voucher here then follow the directions on the voucher to complete your check and mail the payment to the IRS.

Payment Voucher
Do not staple or attach this voucher to your payment or return.
Go to www.irs.gov/Payments for payment options and information.

...I noticed these instructions... what do they mean? I was going to print out the voucher and send with a check for... How do I check how much it was, not sure... I remember $120... instructions were gone when I got to the "print return" page.

You would send your payment and payment voucher not attached/stapled to your return.  The link above from the IRS is if you want to pay online and not by mail.  If you do not owe, there is no payment that needs to be mailed to the IRS.  Any fees will be taken electronically via payment method on TurboTax or by refund if you elected to pay with your refund.

Ok..... I was not able to make the credit card payment work... It said to mail a check... But I was able to print out the tax documents anyway... I did not mail a check yet - $120-ish, only TT fees, not IRS. What are my options, I'm confused.........

For simple tax returns only you can pay by TurboTax by check. If you have a bank account, you can pay your tax bill by check or you can pay from your checking or savings account using an electronic bill paying service known as direct pay.
