I removed my daughter from my return to see how having a dependent effected my numbers. I went from a refund to owing. I then added her back but it still says I owe.

You may not have answered the personal questions properly the second time around. Typically, you have to indicate that the person is your child, they lived with you for over half the year and they didn't pay for half of their living expenses. I suggest you go back through the personal questions and make corrections as is needed.

Remove her again, close out of the program, clear your cache and cookies, and then add her back. Something may be hanging up in the cookies or cache.
